Smart Winch
Smart Winch is an affordable and compact control package. Supporting most Low Voltage AC powered winch or spooling equipment, Smart Winch provides active heave operational features required for marine applications.
Smart Winch performs its corrections based on data input from an industry-standard Motion Reference Unit (MRU); No external PLC or load cells required. Coupled with integration services, Quad Plus engineering can configure the system to meet environmental and space requirements as well as options like custom packaging and HMIs.
Smart Winch Features:
- Full torque at zero and low speed enabling winch start and stop smoothly
- Reduced noise
- Synchronized control for mechanical disc brake in starting and stopping of the winch
- Dynamic braking with an integrated brake chopper and added external braking resistor
- Control software with parameters for anchoring, auto mooring, and hand mooring
- Special packaging for NEMA 4X and Class I Div2 installations available
- No 3rd party active heave systems required

Certifications
