Quad Plus was founded in 1989 by Ralph Morrison and John Crosetto in Joliet, Illinois. The age mismatched pair, Ralph being 30 years John's senior, sought to challenge themselves and see what they could accomplish.
"Based on Ralph's knowledge and reputation, we were given a chance"
– John Crosetto
The two bootstrapped the startup by performing service and commissioning work, both domestically and internationally, building a network of clientele. Along the way, many excellent engineers and professionals joined Quad Plus. Their diverse knowledge and dedication contributed to the growth of Quad Plus, eventually becoming a leading international systems integrator.
Bought from Siemens, and merged with Quad Plus’s repair activities in 2001 VeeArc offered repair and testing services of drives and power electronics. Today VeeArc has operations in Erlangen, Germany; Alpharetta, GA; and Houston, TX with headquarters and major repair facility in Joliet IL.
Our Alpharetta office is an ISO certified repair lab dedicated to Medical diagnostic industry.

From the vision of a few men in 2002, the additions of many contributing team members, and a little help from their more established US partner, QPEU has grown to become a 60 person controls and automation integrator with customers around the globe.
QPEU recently moved to a larger design and manufacturing facility, established a strong controls engineering group and complete panel construction capability. Thanks to its strategic location, QPEU gives Quad Plus the opportunity to offer top quality engineering and manufacturing capabilities worldwide.
Innomation associates joined Quad Plus in 2003 which provided Quad Plus with paper industry process expertise and provided a physical footprint into Southeastern US while providing growth with strategically aligned clientele. The Innomation Team brought experience in sales management and sales-team concepts that continue to help Quad Plus.
In 2004, Quad Plus built a two motor, 5000 HP, DC Shredder System. Soon after, the Quad Plus Recycling Group was formed. With 90+ high horsepower DC systems, proprietary control algorithms (AMPTM), first of its kind digital AC design (Clean Power Drive), and $55 million in sales, the group morphed into the Quad Plus Large Drives Division. This group covers Large AC & DC Systems, Medium Voltage, and Synchronous Control.
The National Service Alliance – Houston, was founded in 2005. They found great success providing needed services by mixing two simple ingredients - determination and a can do attitude.
From the beginning, they focused on a customer’s needs and tended to their requirements – listening to their clients and responding with innovative packaging, power and control solutions. This attention to detail has helped this division to grow into a 30,000 sq-ft, design and manufacturing facility.
Historically, National Service Alliance has primarily served the oil, gas, and marine industries. As we combine the strengths of diversification from the other divisions, they are poised for another growth spurt. By combining the innovative problem solving skills and diversified applications experience of many industries along with the repair and power services of the Quad Plus family, National Service Alliance is ready to be the top dynamic full service integrator and service provider for the Houston market.
In 2008 Quad Plus opened a group focused on Circuit Breaker Repair and Power Distribution equipment services. The main operation is located in an 18,000 Square foot facility in Hammond, Indiana where it focuses on supporting the Utility, Steel, Industrial and Commercial markets.

Cooper & Associates had been in operation for 28 years before joining Quad Plus in 2009. Prior to joining the group, C&A and Quad had first met in the roofing industry. Their main focus is in the building and food processing industry. They offer a complete package of consulting and professional engineering services in mechanical, structural/civil, process piping and electrical-power and controls.
Seeing a need for a better solution to the rising demand for safety in manufacturing, Sentinel was created in 2012 to help clients reach their full safety potential. They strive to create safety systems that harmonize with the needs of a facility without disrupting work flow, aiming to make safety a natural part of a facility’s culture. This motivation to make safety an easy fit while still staying in step with ANSI and ISO industry best-practice safety standards is the core of what drives Sentinel Machine Safety forward.
To better promote and coordinate our diverse services, we are re-branding with our partner companies to offer the customer a full service package where Quad Plus can handle the project, concept to completion.
The first phase of the branding strategy will be the creation of the Quad Plus Global Sales Team. As of 2017, the sales teams from each company will reorganize into a single Global Team to market the services of all of the Quad Plus companies.
Shortly thereafter, the remaining companies, operating companies and divisions will follow this strategy, improving the efficiency of our organization conveying a clearer message to our clients and overall markets - Quad Plus has the expertise, experience and ability to offer a wide spectrum of engineering services and solutions.
